Rod-stripping at Ruscombe, probably at the rod-yard belonging to the Excell family, at the corner of New Road and Ruscombe Lane. The work is being done by three ladies in aprons: a man, probably a member of the Excell family, stands to the right. In the background is a building which appears to be made of osier rods, and thatched. The osiers were used to make baskets, and hurdles : glass negative, Box 14 numbered 6. Prints of the same image by Llewellyn Treacher, green album page 5, and white album p. 81
