Service to mark the anniversary of the armistice, 11 November 1929, in the Market Place, Reading. A military band is playing, and on a platform in front of the car park attendant's hut and Simeon obelisk stand the Mayor, Aldermen and Councillors, and a clergyman. Stone, lighting and radio specialists); the entrance to the Corn Exchange; No. 34 (Robert Stiles, wine and spirit merchants); No. 33 (E. Lane, luncheon and tea rooms); No. 32 (J. J. Davies and Sons, china and glass merchants); No. 17 (Cooksey and Walker, auctioneers and estate agents); Nos. 13, 14, 15 and 16 (Westminster Bank); No. 11 (Morris and Davis, tailors); Nos. 7, 8, 9 and 10 (Sutton and Sons, seed merchants); and No. 6 (Russell, Butler, Son and Peto, auctioneers, estate agents and insurance agents). 1930-1939
