A fire at two shops in Southampton Street, Reading, 21 April 1931. They were run by Philip Hill, grocer, at No. 2, and Miss Annie Norris, ladies' outfitter, at No. 4. Firemen can be seen, spraying water from the Holy Brook on the building: one of the firemen appears to be in the brook. Spectators can be seen on the bridge carrying Southampton Street over the brook. Fixed to the side of the building, a sign for Bradley's, the printers in nearby Caxton Street, can be seen. 1930-1939
