Reading Town Hall, St. Laurence's Vicarage and the west end of St. Laurence's Church, Reading. This Town Hall was built in 1786, and the lower floor was occupied by Reading School. An asterisk above the door marks the position of an inscribed plaque: unsigned drawing with the caption, "A.A. - Old Reading School. * - Here was Valpy's inscription, 'Renovata, ornata, aucta, Anno. MDCCCXXVI."
