Sophia Lodge, c. 1823. It is seen across a lawn, framed by trees, and four ladies watch a dog running around. The house was in Windsor Forest, and in the Civil Parish of Clewer Without. It was formerly known as The Hermitage, and later as St. Leonard's. 1820-1829: print, drawn by J. Gendall, and published in "Ackermann's Repository of Arts, &c., " in 1823. The caption reads: "Sophia Lodge, the Seat of Wm. Dawson, Esq. (View from the Lawn."
