Caversham Road, Reading, looking north from the junction with Tudor Road, c. 1880. The railway is carried over the road on a three-arch brick bridge, with a metal bridge in front of it. There is a signal-box just west of the bridge, and a steam locomotive appears to be approaching it from the east. Six workmen appear, with various hand-carts and barrels, on the left-hand pavement. On the right-hand side, at the corner of Tudor Road, is No. 66 Caversham Road, the shop of R. H. Ferrebee, baker. 1880-1889
