Cross Street, Reading, looking northwards from Broad Street towards Friar Street, 1886. On the left is No. 24 Broad Street (Ye Olde Curiosity Shoppe of Thomas Fleming), and on the right No. 23 Broad Street (the Bull Hotel). On the west side of Cross Street, the sign of William Fossett, pork butcher, at No. 21, can be made out. 1880-1889 : photograph with caption "Cross St. Reading in 1887, " and numbered 22, probably a copy of a postcard. The reverse is stamped, "Corporation Museum and Art Gallery, Reading." There is an almost identical postcard at Dynix 1209974
