Crime thriller starring John Hurt and Elijah Wood. When an elderly lady is murdered in Oxford, her body is found by professor of logic, Arthur Seldom (John Hurt), and gifted maths graduate, Martin (Wood). When Seldom discovers a note in his mailbox indicating that the murder is the first in a series linked by a strange pattern, Arthur and Martin must join forces to try and solve the puzzle and catch the killer.
